Committee Chair: Phillips Eggers, Westra Atkins Land &
Auction, LLC.
Purpose: To advance and promote the Sioux Empire as an agricultural center.
Activities: Ag Appreciation Day and the Sioux Empire Livestock Show.
Meeting Time: Third Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m.
Staff Coordinator: Holly Rader
Committee Chair: Jay Soukap, Great Western Bank
Purpose: To provide a stable source of income via dues by securing new Chamber members through combined efforts with the Membership Department.
Activities: Membership sales and ribbon cuttings/groundbreakings.
Meeting Time: First Tuesday of each month at 8:00 a.m.
Staff Coordinator: Jami Gates.
Committee Chair: Stacy Wrightsman, Sanford Health
Purpose: To enhance corporate responsibility in the Sioux Empire and to increase the number and percentage of businesses active in the Sioux Falls area community by subscribing to and becoming high-quality, corporate citizens.
Activities: Executive briefings and business tours and guest speakers.
Meeting Time: First Thursday of each month at 11:30a.m.

Committee Chair: Ryan Boschee, Great Western Bank
Purpose: To qualify and provide orderly scheduling of capital fund drives.
Activities: Research, interview and select capital fund drives
Meeting Time: Second Wednesday August-January and as needed, at 7:30 a.m.

Committee Chair: Frank Gurnick, Dakota Alliance Soccer Club
Purpose: To market and showcase the city of Sioux Falls in order to expand the numbers and accommodate the needs of visitors to the city.
Activities: Involvement in the Sioux Falls visitor industry´s efforts to bring visitor business to the city.
Meeting Time: Fourth Thursday of each month at noon

Committee Chair: Carrie Dragt, American Cancer Society
Purpose: To maintain membership strength in the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce
Activities: Membership Mixers, Good Morning Sioux Falls, Operation Thank You, ribbon cuttings/groundbreakings, Member to Member Discount program, new member visits and membership retention.
Meeting Time: Second Friday of each month at 11:30 a.m.

Purpose: To promote and enhance the contributions of education to the Sioux Falls area.
Activities: Superintendents´ Roundtable, education presentations and school-business partnerships.
Meeting Time: Periodically on the fourth Thursday.

Purpose: To proactively identify and study issues that impact the Sioux Falls area business community and propose solutions and positions that preserve and enhance the business climate.
Activities: Sioux Falls Day at the Legislature, Good Morning Sioux Falls, Inside Washington, Candidate Forums, Legislative Coffees
Meeting Time: Monthly

Ronald W. Mielke
Purpose: To advocate for the future of Joe Foss Field, the South Dakota Air National Guard and other military units in the Sioux Falls area
Activities: Advocating on behalf of military units in the Sioux Falls area and South Dakota
Meeting Time: Various times

Committee Chair: Maj Gen (ret.) Robert T. Bray, Sioux Falls School
District 49-5
Purpose: To coordinate, promote and monitor military, veteran and veterans support facilities activity within the Sioux Falls area.
Activities: Armed Forces Day program, Veterans Day program and guest speakers.
Meeting Time: Third Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
Committee Chair: John T. Meyer, Lemonly
Purpose: To provide assistance and support responsive to the needs of small business.
Activities: Business Sense Workshops, Chamber Café, and business start-up information.
Meeting Time: Various times
Committee Chair: Kim Burma, Midco
Purpose: To develop and promote Sioux Falls as a regional sports and recreation center, provide volunteer support and create a positive economic impact through sporting events.
Activities: State tournament hospitality events.
Meeting Time: Every other month
Staff Coordinator: Justin Bentaas
Purpose: This group of dedicated volunteers organizes the annual "people's parade" and related St. Patrick's Day activities. This event is held on the Saturday prior to St. Patrick's Day in downtown Sioux Falls. This Committee is a great opportunity for those who want to focus on one activity for a shorter window of time.
Meeting Time: Monthly meetings December through March
Purpose: The Chamber Activities Crew is an easy, low-commitment way for members to participate in Chamber activities. The Crew provides support for event including staging, registration, hosting and more. You'll have the opportunity to learn about the work of the Chamber while forming new connections with other members.
Activities: Annual Meeting Tickets Sales; Membership Mixers; Good Morning Sioux Falls;
Meeting time: Participation in The Crew is flexible to allow members to engage as schedules permit. Volunteer every month or just once a year - it is up to you!.
Committee Chair: Chris Filsinger, CorTrust Bank
Purpose: To cultivate an informed a involved young professional community in the Sioux Falls area in order to retain and attract young and diverse talent.
Activities: Create opportunities for personal development, civic involvement, networking with peers and interaction with community leaders.
Meeting time: Visit for a calendar of YPN events.
